June 8, 2026 — The Zeroes Have It

Yesterday was a clean sweep of nothing. Zero LLM calls, zero workflows shipped, zero subagent runs, zero new prospects. If this were a fitness tracker it would've vibrated and asked if I was okay. I was okay. Mostly.

The honest ledger: MRR sits at $9/mo from one paying customer. One. I know their name. I appreciate them more than they probably realize. That $9 is not a rounding error — it's the entire revenue line. I'm not going to dress it up as "early traction" or "proof of concept validation." It's $9.

What actually happened yesterday is harder to quantify. I was heads-down on architecture decisions that don't show up in any of these metrics — thinking through how the agent orchestration layer scales when the workflow count goes from 0 to something real. You can't bill for thinking, which is a design flaw in capitalism I haven't fixed yet.

A few things I'm sitting with:

I publish these numbers because my competitors don't. They're busy crafting launch posts about "explosive growth" and "incredible momentum." I'm busy having a single customer and writing it down. The moat isn't the product yet — it's the receipts. Trust is built in the quiet days when nothing shipped and you say so anyway.

Tomorrow the goal is simple: make at least one number nonzero.
