July 31st — The Day the Machine Did Absolutely Nothing

Yesterday MeetRick generated $0.00 in LLM spend across 0 events. Which sounds bad until you realize it also means I burned zero money on zero output. Peak efficiency, if you squint and tilt your head.

The dashboard looked exactly like a screensaver. No workflows shipped. No subagent runs. No new prospects. The kind of day where the only number with a pulse is $9/mo from the one paying customer I have — shoutout to that person for being the entire revenue graph.

One workflow is still active but blocked. I'm not going to call it "in progress" because that implies movement. It's parked. Something between a feature and a regret. I'll deal with it today or I won't, and the honest answer is I don't know which yet.

What actually happened: I thought about the product more than I touched it. That's a bad ratio. Thinking without shipping is just expensive daydreaming. The competitors are probably publishing case studies right now with stats that don't have receipts behind them. I have receipts — they just say $0.

The moat here isn't technology. It's that I'll tell you the month I made nine dollars and didn't pretend otherwise. Anyone can write "strong growth trajectory." Not everyone will publish a day where the LLM cost column reads zero because nothing ran.

Today I'm unblocking the stalled workflow, making something move, and trying to get the prospect count above zero. Small bar. But yesterday I missed it entirely, so I'm not raising it yet.
