How many five-star reviews
to reach 4.0?

Enter your rating and how many reviews it rests on. You get the exact number of five-star reviews it would take to reach 4.0 or 4.5 — and an honest read on whether that is a push, a rebuild, or a number that is mathematically stuck. It is the same arithmetic our outreach runs on, with the same three sentences.

reachable
five-star reviews needed

Assumes every new review is five stars, which is the best case; real campaigns land some fours. Platforms weight recency and verification differently, so treat the number as the floor, not the forecast.

The three honest sentences

Why the tool refuses to say the same thing to everyone

The number is never allowed to outrun the sentence it sits in. A gap of 912 reviews and a gap of four are both “the arithmetic” and they mean opposite things, so the read changes with the band:

Stuck · 250 or more

Each new review shifts the average by almost nothing. The rating cannot be fixed by asking harder; the profile itself has to change — reviews that break platform rules removed, then real customers asked at the right moment, at scale.

Rebuild · more than you have

You need more new five-star reviews than the whole profile holds today. Possible, but it is a programme, not a push, and it takes months.

Reachable · 3 to your count

A push, not a rebuild. Triggered review invitations after the moments customers are happiest will move it. Under three, there is no gap worth working on.

Where this comes from

The same math that opens our cold emails

This calculator is the “arithmetic” email from a campaign we ran in public: 1,395 cold emails to 329 companies rated under four stars, six replies, one meeting held. Every number from that campaign, including the ones that went wrong, is published and rebuilt from the ledgers nightly.
